We invite you to join us for three unique sets of performances that include a wide variety of musical styles for our varied audiences. Our season program is designed to offer a spectrum of choral sounds.
In October, engaging
Celtic music performed with Wild Notes, a traditional Celtic
ensemble, will embrace chant from the monastic tradition, folk melodies
with religious texts and great hymns of the Church in a repeat performance
of Song of the Tree of Life. In
December, The Wild Notes will join us again as we present carols from
Eastern and Western Europe with traditional songs, inspiring motets
and special arrangements of favorite carols designed for audience participation.
In May, Shakespeare set to music by Vaughan Williams will
be the centerpiece of A Serenade to Music, with selections
from Monteverdi's Scherzi
Musicali, excerpts from Lauridsen's Rose Motets and Beethoven's Choral
Fantasy, op. 80.
It is our hope that the fine choral music and inspiring texts that we have chosen will bring you the joy they bring us in preparing them for you.
We look forward to having you with us!
