Our 2006-2007
season begins on December 3, 9 and 17 with Resounding
Joy! – A celebration of traditional Carols & Motets
with an invitation to sing along! Music joins people together in song and spirit, especially at this most festive time of the year! Our program features musical treasures from different cultures around the world that have become such a part of the Christmas season. Carols from Eastern and Western Europe, Scandinavia, Celtic lands and America that recall memories and traditions, combine with inspiring motets of the Renaissance and uplifting works by G. F. Handel, Hector Berlioz, and John Rutter. An invitation to our audiences to join us in singing special arrangements of favorite carols will also be part of the celebration as harp, flute, oboe, pipe organ, bells and percussion accompany texts to lift the spirit in resounding joy!
