Traditional music from the heart of the Celtic people

The Celtic faith or "Tree of Life," is rooted in everyday life. Celtic devotional music reflects this, embracing chant from the monastic tradition, folk melodies with religious texts and great hymns of the Church. As we explore this rich heritage,  CitySingers will be joined by Wild Notes, a Celtic Instrumental Ensemble which will add its unique sound with Fiddle, Concertina, Irish Harp, Guitar, Double Bass and Bodhran (a Celtic drum) to a program of traditional music and ancient readings. Together, we will look  into the soul of the Celtic people and celebrate an individuality and imagination that springs from a love of nature, poetry and melody.
