Jubilo!
A jubilee of
beautiful carols & motets from around the world plus excerpts
from a Bach's Cantata 63!
CitySingers will weave together a program inspired by the joy
of the season using chant, renaissance motets, traditional classics
by the masters and carols inspired by native folksongs. Along with
unaccompanied choral arrangements and selections accompanied by
organ, harp, woodwinds, cello, bells and percussion, our audiences
will be invited to join in singing familiar carols

Songs of Tribute
John Rutter’s tribute to adult and children’s choirs and
G. F.
Handel’s festive anthems written for the coronation of
King
George I
This unique intergenerational program will bring together
CitySingers of Hartford and the Choir School of Hartford to perform
John Rutter’s Mass of the Children, written in memory of his son.
The program will also include two of G. F. Handel’s Coronation
Anthems: The King Shall Rejoice and Zadok, written for King George’s
Coronation in 1727. Each work is scored for choir and orchestra
under the leadership of Bert Landman, Guest Director..
