The highlight of these performances will be Monteverdi’s
Selva Morale e Spirituale performed with traditional early music
instruments. Selections from this monumental compilation of Monteverdi’s
church music represent the scope of his colorful
and dramatic musical style.
The program also features Bach’s stunning motet for double
choir, Singet dem Herrn, and time-honored works by Brahms, Dvorák,
Stanford and Rossini.
