The CitySingers of Hartford

Established in 1982 by Suzanne Gates, CitySingers of Hartford began as a small but enthusiastic group of friends who shared a common love of singing. Today, the group consists of approximately 20 auditioned participants who bring a variety of professional and musical backgrounds, and offer a wide repertoire encompassing a cappella and accompanied works of various styles, periods and cultures.

Artistic Director, Jeff Cregeur, continues the legacy of CitySingers, leading with his extensive background of vocal pedagogy, keyboard studies, and knowledge of music composition. CitySingers often collaborates with local instrumentalists, and strives to program new and old works by all people.
