NicDaniel Charles

NicDaniel is a Bass-Baritone currently studying at the Hartt School of Music, where he specializes in classical voice and cabaret-style singing. Earlier this winter, he was cast in the Playhouse On Park production of Peter Robinson’s All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914. An active, versatile choral singer, NicDaniel has performed with numerous groups, including the Greater Middletown Chorale, the New Haven Choral, Chorus Angelicus-Gaudeamus under Gabriel Löfvall, and the Manchester Symphony Orchestra Chorale (MSOC).

 

As a choral director, NicDaniel is a co-founder of Tenuto, an early music vocal quartet. Tenuto recently put on their debut concert at the St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, performing some early works of Byrd, Elgar, Howells, and more. NicDaniel also served for two years as the music director of L’Shir, a student run competitive a cappella group at the University of Hartford. A second semester graduate student, NicDaniel is currently pursuing a Graduate Professional Diploma (GPD) in Vocal Performance.
